1. I Kristen & Allie,

   My names is Dominic Smith and I’m the Project Manager/Health Educator for the Michigan Department of Community Health’s – Climate & Health Adaptation Program. I listened to your presentation on the Climate Change & Remote Sensing call yesterday. You two did a wonderful job and it sounds like you had an amazing adventure and learning experience!

   Our program issues a quarterly newsletter titled, ‘Climate & Health News,’ geared primarily for local health departments, non-govenment and private organizations interested in climate change, some academics and partners involved with our program. If you’re interested, I would like to do a short article about you for our January newsletter. I could pull together information right from your ‘About Us’ tab and then direct people to your webpage to learn more. Here are examples of past issues. 2. Hi Kristin and Allie.

   I came across your website while doing some research on global approaches to climate adaptation and resilience in the built environment for a presentation I am giving at the Green Cities Confernce in Sydney on 18/19 March. I watched your video and was so inspired by your work I just wanted to say congratulations and thank you for sharing your experience. I have a passion for climate adaptation and am fortunate to have made this part of my work developing a methodology to assess climate vulnerability and resilince in commercial buildings. Seeing your work made me think about how I would love to do something similar to document the stories of adaptation here in Australia. I just need to figure a way to take three months off work and find the money to fund it! If it’s OK with you, I will use your example in my presentation and show your video. It can only serve to inspire others and raise awareness of the adptation challenge. Thanks for making my day!

     We’re so glad you found our blog so inspiring! You are most welcome to talk about our road trip and show our video during your conference presentation. We have discussed the idea that the Great American Adaptation Road Trip model could be transferred to other countries, and if you can carve out the time off to do it in Australia, that would be fantastic!
